Bellever Open day 23 July 2011

Work started today to prepare the Bronze Age settlement at Bellever for the next phase of archaeological excavation which is due to start on the 18th July. Spoil heaps from the 2009 excavation have been removed and on Monday (11 July) a team from the Tavistock taskforce will start clearing back the vegetation and removing the top soil. All this work will enable the archaeologists to start excavating straight away when they arrive on site.
