Dartmoor First is the local sustainability initiative from the Dartmoor Partnership that is managed by the National Park Authority. In two years since it was launched 68 organisations have achieved the award .
They have been recognised for
* their commitment to sustaining Dartmoor and its special qualities;
* their actions that have a positive impact on Dartmoor’s environment, economy and social well-being;
* making that extra effort to put Dartmoor First!
The latest two businesses to be awarded are Sparrowhawk Backpackers of Moretonhampstead and Lovaton Farm (for both their farmhouse and their meat partnership).
